The State is reporting that JUUL is creating hundreds of jobs on the east coast as well as investing $125 million for Lexington County, South Carolina. This is all part of JUUL’s plan to open an assembly and packing plant in the county sometime this summer.
The jobs being created will boost Lexington County, which has struggled to gain the attention of big business, said State Senator Katrina Shealy.
The plant will create “midrange to high paying jobs”, which will be particularly benefit employees in outlying areas of the county.
“South Carolina is a great place for business,” Shealy said. “We have a great climate, we’re a right-to-work state, we don’t encourage unions.”
