The clock is now officially ticking for flavored vaping product sales for Michigan shops.
Today, the Emergency Rules were published and shops have 14 days to remove all flavored products, leaving only tobacco flavor as an option. It also bans the use of “misleading” marketing of vaping products that uses terms like “clean,” “safe” and “healthy.” The order is effective for 180 days.
The Detroit Free Press is reporting that any violation of the new rules could result in a retailer being charged with a misdemeanor, punishable by a $200 fine and up to six months in jail. Repeated violations could result in daily fines under the rules.
