The Star Tribune is reporting the 4th death from black-market use. This Minnesota Department of Health confirmed the death that occurred in August. The case involves an adult over the age of 65 and who vaped an illicit THC compound. The deceased also suffered from an underlying lung disease.
Three other deaths have been confirmed in Illinois, Indiana and Oregon.
Health authorities in Minnesota have reported 17 confirmed or probable vaping-related injury cases and are investigating another 15. In Minnesota, interviews with eight of the patients showed that all had vaped THC compounds.
This announcement comes as the CDC gave their own press release today.
