Southern Maryland News Net is reporting that all county parks and museums in St. Mary’s County will go tobacco free beginning September 1st. The policy will include smoking, vaping and all use of products that contain nicotine for those who take a trip to experience these sites in St. Mary’s County.
The tobacco free resolution is being adopted on two phases. The first goes into effect September 1st and bans the use of tobacco products at parks and museums. The second phase bans tobacco use on all county owned or leased buildings and properties, effective January 1st 2020.
The Wicomico Golf Shores property is exempt from this policy.
