Fox Business reports that Connecticut’s Governor, Ned Lamont, has agreed to a two-year $43 billion-dollar budget plan with the help of state Democrats. The budget is filled with new or increased taxes, including a 10% wholesale tax on vaping products, as The Constitution State faces a large deficit.
The tax on vaping products is just one of many being introduced throughout Connecticut. The state also faces a massive gap in pension funding, as well.
Connecticut collected the second most in per capita state and local individual income taxes, according to a 2018 Tax Foundation analysis.
